please dont tell me how you think the 360 is as good or better.x-box will never be more than a cheap ps imitation.

It will be 499.99 for the 20GB hard drive and 599.99 for the 60GB hard drive.
Truth is it will be hard to fill up a 20gb hard drive,let alone a 60gb hard drive. So the cheaper version is more applicable to most gamers.
As to whether it will be worth the price tag that is a matter of perception.If quick and advanced graphics is something you desire from your video games, then most certainly it will be worth it.The ps3 will be using NEW cell processing technology.With this new technology comes far more possiblities for creating video games and much more realism for the players.There is Nothing on the market that is even in the same league!
You get what you pay for.
In my opinion, this unit is under priced for what it can do.
One other thing to consider with any video game system is the number of games that can be played on it and Playstation always ends up with the most games.
So you will end up with the best graphics and the most games for only $ 100.00 more than the competition.Pretty good deal really!

No there is no real reason that it should be priced more than the 360! You will never be able to tell the difference between the same game on the 360 and ps3. I'm a sony fan myself but if thats going to the price tag.....looks like xbox just picked up another consumer.

I dont belive so, i used to own a ps2 when it first came out, then bought an xbox, then 360 and will never go back to sony. I just cant see the ps3 being as much fun as the 360, especially online, and even more so given its huge price tag. (bear in mind it will probably cost more here in the uk)

Wow, I believe it will be very quick warrant. Cause there will be so many problems with the PS3 considering it will use technology called Blu Ray.

what did you expect to pay for the next gen system?

it is an ingenious marketing strategy though - making system after system and suckering people into buying them.
