I had the same thing a few years back. Sounds like agorophobia. I couldn't go anywhere or do anything for about 9 months. I got on antidepressants and with a lot of determination and help from people who cared about me I put my life back together. Now I have a fiancee, manage a shop, and have my own flat. It may be hard but you can get better.

hiya,

it does sound like you have hat jojo said, i had something like this a few years ago i felt nervoius to go out and scared and also a sick feeling, ive got cfs so i dont get out that much due to the nature of the illness so i guess i got used to not going out then when i did go out i was scared because i was out of my comfort zone so to speak.

i can't remmber how i got rid of it i think i just forced myself to go out bit by bit, like the corner shop one day, and so on, but i wouldnt recomend it if yours is really quite servre as you might get a panic attack.

i would suggest that you make an appiontment with your dr, getting thre by either a lift, or getting the dr to come out to you
( the receptionist is likely to moan a bit but stand your ground if you cant go out at all )

of course it might by something else complely but it sure does sound like what i had.

take care feel free to msn me x

Only sick??? No morbid fear of stepping out of the door???

Maybe you have an aversion to the air??? Are you close to a road or close to fields??? Allergies???

Exactly what jojo said - either that or some other anxiety issue - definitely go and see your GP.

Get better soon m'dear.
