I've been asked this several times during routine visits. And with circumstances being as they are, I will likely have to answer it with "yes" the next time I go.

What do they do in that case?

It is part of the history. Whatever the answer is it would be noted in the history. It may be useful information depending on what the problem with the patient is. The information in the chart is strictly confidential.
