great movie with a SURPRISE ending

I saw Superman two days ago. Personally, I thought it was great. It all depends on the audience though. If you like comic book movies, then you will most likely enjoy this one, but if you cant stand to see another person in tight clothes running around saving people, than you're doomed from the beginning.
The special effects are pretty incredible as is the sense of power given to Superman. This makes it more 'realistic' when comparing it to the older Chris Reeves versions. They kept to the story well, although I am in no ways a master on the subject, and overall did an exceptional job with the casting.
I will say that this movie is probably the most...'couple-friendly' comic book movie out recently. It has a certain sense of romance which should make the girls say 'Awwww that's sweet' , without coming off as a bore to the guys. After all, the director referred to it as his first chic-flick.
Overall I think it depends completely on your attitude going in. If you are expecting an out-of-this-world movie that will tug on your heartstrings---you will be disappointed. BUT, if you just want a good time watching a good movie...you'll enjoy it. Promise.

It was very good. The director called it his first chick flick. The villians were good, the new superman is yummy, all in all, it was solid action/adventure with just enough romance.

it was one of the best movies of the summer if you like action movies that keep you on the edge of your seat you'll love superman returns

I would not waste time and money on such a silly film.
Just saw "The Wind that shakes the Barley".
Now that is a great film I can recommend.

I really liked it. It's better than the old ones even if the actors aren't as personable.
Worth every penny...
