i sit on the fence on that issue.
I think it should be legal for rapes or in the case of severe medical issues.
What I think is wrong and murder is people using it as a form of birth control. I personally feel it's a baby from conception. Not a "fetus".
If the baby is healthy and viable and not the product of rape or abuse then give it up for adoption.
I would gladly adopt in that situation if a teen I knew were in trouble.

I know rape is very very very hard on a person, there is actually no explaining it. But if you become pregnant from something like that, I think having the baby and putting it up for adoption is the best way. Coping with rape is horrible. Imagine how you would feel letting an innocent life go to waste. I know it wasn't innocently created but I can't imagine the pain you would put yourself through knowing that this little baby who is now a part of you will not have a chance at life. Giving birth to the baby will not take away what had happened in the past so why not let them live even if it was with another family who cannot become pregnant. I feel that any abortion is wrong no matter what the terms.........

Well in the end it will be only between god and that person. A baby is a blessing no matter how you got it. I know someone that says in the bible it states to deny my child, is to deny me and that I die for all your sins. In my own words, I say that God is the one that put the baby in your life at this time, no matter if you got raped or you was just unprotected. So many young girls use abortion as a form of birth control and that's not right. Not only to the child but to the mother as well. You can die giving birth, but you can also die by getting an abortion. There is an video online at www.abort73.com/HTML/I-A-4-video.html, it shows you up close what it is and what it does and what the baby looks like after it all said and done and also the depression of the mother and what her body goes through now. You may not want a baby now, but after some abortions, you always may not get another baby later. So take a look and then decided, but it's no one choice, but the mother. Oh yeah, I am pro-life and I have no kids, but I want some later.

I believe it is 100% WRONG!! The definition of abortion is:
'An abortion is the removal or expulsion from the uterus of an embryo or fetus, resulting in or caused by its DEATH."
The pro-choicers would have you believe that it is not a living thing. Well, if it isn't a living thing, then how can it result in DEATH? And if it truly isn't human, then how do women give birth to human babies? And, did you know, that if for some reason an abortion fails, the doctor then has a moral obligation under the hypocritic oath to do everything in his power to save the BABY! “If a baby is born alive following a failed abortion and then dies (because of lack of care), you could potentially be charged with murder,” said Shantala Vadeyar, a consultant obstetrician at South Manchester University Hospitals NHS Trust. Wow, how did it go from a fetus that we can just kill, to a baby we must try save if the abortion fails?
Even international law is on the babies side: The 1978 American Convention on Human Rights states, in Article 4.1, "Every person has the right to have his life respected. This right shall be protected by law and, in general, from the moment of conception."
I believe that when a women is raped, that is a tragic situation. But the pregnacy was not the fault of the baby. The women has the option to keep the baby or she could give it up for adoption. There are TONS of families who want to adopt babies, I have a friend who her and her husband have been on a waiting list for almost 4 years now to adopt.
With all the abortions going on, how do we know we didn't kill the person who would find the cure for cancer? Or AIDS? Or some other sickness? I believe out of tragedy comes light, and the baby is the light.

Whatever the problem and whatever the cause it is not the babies fault. Killing the baby because it was conceived by rape is wrong. If you can't stand the idea of looking at that baby and seeing it's rapist father, then you should give it up for adoption at birth. There are people lined up waiting for babies to adopt. So much so that they are going to other countries all around the world to get them.
If you are facing this problem go to a Crisis Pregnancy Center. They will help you get through this and if you want to give the child up for adoption they will help you there also.
I have a friend who aborted her first pregnancy. It haunts her every day of her life, knowing that she killed her own child--it torments her. She has cried a million tears but still not enough to bring back that precious little life.

Abortion.
A necessary evil, if you will.
There are cases when it is a MUST; there are cases when it should NEVER be allowed.
Case #1 - woman with major medical issues.
Doctors must choose between saving the life of the fetus or the woman.
I would side with saving the woman - especially it was my wife.
Case #2 - woman gets pregnant for the third time.
No husband, no real source of income, she's a drug user and is HIV-positive.
Odds are good that the fetus will be born addicted and diseased.
Future for the baby looks very dim.
I'd side with aborting.
Case #3 - woman gets pregnant - a mistake due to a one-night stand.
She has already had a previous abortion, due to a previous one-night stand.
Having a baby would be an inconvenience to her life.
I'd say NO to abortion.
The problem with abortion is that it is a case-by-case issue.
It is a MORAL issue and therefore, should NOT be legislated by the government.
I want the government to stay OUT of my (and your) personal life.
They have NO business telling us what we should do.
That is a violation of my (and your) personal freedom.
I also would advocate mandatory birth control to the following:
1. pregnant, unwed teens (after she gives birth);
2. female convicted drug abusers;
3. women with more than three children;
4. women with no real source of income;
5. mentally-ill women.
It is amazing to me that while so many so-called pro-lifers insist that a pregnant woman MUST carry the fetus to term, they don't care what happens to the baby after it’s born.
If our government is so adamant about imposing moral laws on us, then why not legislate births?
Shouldn't people have to pass a parent test before they have a baby?
ANYONE can get pregnant and have a baby...so why not license them like we do in the case of driver’s license, gun ownership, or countless other laws currently in existence?
This MIGHT help curb child abuse and give the baby a better chance at getting proper health and education in its early life.

A woman will have to live with her decision the rest of her life. Either the burden of raising an unwanted child, or the unknown of where her adopted child is. On the other hand she will have that unknown about what if she had delivered the baby, did she make the right moral decision.
So given the father is not a part of the decision (IE a rape or other situation) it should be her choice. Her choice right or wrong.

There are many people who feel it's wrong because it is against some religions and that they feel they are "killing" the baby, not giving it any chance of life. People also feel that if you can't take care of a baby, you should adopt it so the baby can still live.
Some people feel it's right because it's a technology proven to help pregnant women who don't know how to take care of the baby, therefore it would have be miserable at the beginning of its life. It also prevents the rough times of going through pregnancy altogether, and that's why some women feel its right.
I really can't stand on either side of the viewpoint because they both have their benefits and risks.

I think abortion is wrong unless it is for medical reasons which can risk the woman and the baby. That unborn child is a living being just like any other human. If you were raped then I say give the baby up for adoption to a family who are not blessed to have children of their own.

Well I will never judge people who have abortions if I don't know ther situations and the reason why they done it. Like you said when a woman gets raped or something it's gonna be unberrable for her to have that baby. But as for other options in different surcumstances there is always the option of having the child adopted if you cannot have it yourself.
