Here in India there are several Computer mags that will give you a CD with lots of freeware every month - like DIGIT, CHIP, PC world etc and most have Yahoo messsenger on it.
Otherwise go browse at a high speed cafe and burn the set up file on a disc and get it back home.
Use a download manager that will help you download the file even on a slow connection over multiple sessions.

Download DAP. You just go to search n type DAP. Just download the programe. You can download very fast anything.Try it out.
