I guess Italy fails to be impressive in USA and Australia match, but it's definitively one of the best teams in the world.
Defenders and goalie never fails. The only bad spot was Barzagli's own goal (actually the only goal against Italy). Materazzi doesn't deserve a red card.
I want to point it out coach Lippi dealt with injuries: Nesta and Zambrotta had lost many match.
Actually, only Italy had play WC with ALL their players (but for 2 goalie-substitutes), defenders never lose their head. Playing in 10 against 11 too.
Captain Cannavaro was impressive for his willingness and careful plays. He everytime comes at the ball before his opponent.
Buffon made great saves in all match.
So i think Buffon and Cannavaro are the best Italian players and Italy defense is the ultimate wall. Germany will get a hard time attacking Italians
