just log in as administrator, it may not allow you if you don't have the priviledge , which can only be set by admin, but some other software don't care ,such as skypee

You can't. They would have made you an administrator if they wanted you to be able to do things like that.

I'm guessing you're trying to do this at work...my suggestion would be to use aim express, since you don't have to download anything to use it.
