Bush is enough idiot to invade other countries for achieving out US benefits.
But US politicians can't handle some other troubles for their country and other countries now.
I think, they are surveying the world reactions against their aggressive policy. Also, I don't think the world can handle new invading to one the oil producers.
However US wants to have full control over oil and gas, but this isn't a good time now.

I don't think so, he's got his hands full in Iraq and there's no reason to invade venezeula as long as they kept selling it all to the USA. I don't think even the USA has an army large enough to do that. Besides, in Venezeula there aren't as many fighting factions as Iraq and they could put together an even more formitable résestance.
