I'm interested in joining but I heard they limit the number of DVD's you recieve in the unlimited plan. How have your experiences been with shipping delays?

i ALWAYS get the movie the NEXT day! i am on the two plan. my friend has the FIVE plan and he has the NEXT day experience as well!

unlimited means they ship you x amount (1-5 movies) and you'll receive for example if you picked TWO, you'll receive those two at once, but not until you mail at least ONE of them back will they ship the next one out on your list (queue).

i have never had one missing or delayed or anything. my brother had one not show up ever and they even take full responsibilty for that!

I had that problem.

Here's what they do; If you sign up with the unlimited plan, at first they'll send you all the good movies/new releases that you want.

But after being with them for 6 months to a year, they bump you down on the food chain. So new members get new releases and old members get old crap and have to wait forever for new movies to come in.

After the first year it got so bad that I was recieving movies that weren't even in my top ten!

The shipping really wasn't that bad. I think my turn around was about 2-3 days. I mean they have to receive your dvd back and ship you out a new one, so as long as you mail out the old one as soon as you're done, the wait won't be too bad.

I wouldn't do Netflix again b/c it's really not something you can do long term (or else they boot you.) I hear block buster does the same thing, but the perk to block buster is that they send you free instore coupons each month. So if you cannot get the movie you want via mail, you can run into the store and pick it up (including new releases).

I'm going to try Block Buster...

*Just letting you know what I experienced, you might have a diff experience. Check my questions asked, a lot of people have had this problem. I posted a question asking about block buster vs. netflix.

Good Luck!

I am a Netfilx customer and I have been for more than 3 years. I can tell you this. If you return all your movies relatively quickly (like a day or two after they arrive), they will start holding your movies and not sending them out right away. The reasoning for this is that they factor in a 4 day viewing time for each title sent. For example, I you received a movie on Monday, Netflix does not expect you to return it until the fifth day (which would be Friday). Returning the movies quickly sort of messes up their rotation. With that being said, I am not dissatisfied with Netflix. I just realize that I cannot watch all my movies in a day and return them all at the same time.

From my experience, I might mail all 3 DVD's back at the same time, and they mail mine 1, every other day. Right now im on my first month, and I havent had a DVD in 2 weeks. Now I dont know what the problem is with that. But Netflix sucks, Blockbuster.com is your best bet. Netflix just has a better selection.

I LOVE this service and HIGHLY recommend it. The shipping is awesome, within two or three day turn around. I pay about $15 a month for unlimited movies each month. If you watch at least a movie or two a week it is well worth it. If not there are other plans to suit your needs.

I love dealing with them. I get my movies over night and it depends on what plan you are on . I get 3 movies out at a time. Its the easiest movie site to navigate and they have a great selection. Ive never had any problems with them. I also belong to GreenCin because it has a lot of really hard to find films but I hate how difficult it is to get around the site. I really recommend NetFlix. Ask them to define the Unlimited plan for you.We watch them and mail them back the next day at a post office not in our mail box. We always get our movies in only one day and they post the returned ones right away and tell me when to expect the next ones . No problems in over a year.

I have Netflix and have been very happy. I get three at a time and there's about a three day turnaround. Never heard about the "unlimited" plan, but common sense tells me that if they're a business, they are going to "limit" the amount of DVD's you have at one time.

I have the 3 at a time plan, and they are pretty good at shipping them the next day. Sometimes it takes a few days for them to post that they received the ones we send back though. Over all I'm happy with it, it is much better than getting charged late fees at the video store.

I think that the throttling is worst if you choose the cheapest plan. If you shell for the 3 at a time plan instead of one at a time, they are much much quicker with the movies.
