I would go for more natural colors in the brown and pink families. Since your dress in a bright color you don't want to over-do your makeup. Look at recent pictures from award shows and get inspiration. Yellow has become more popular for gowns. Perhaps bright red lips and subtle eye makeup?

It depends on the shade of yellow. For example: If it is a pastel yellow try shades of light pink or light purple. If neither of those work then try white but too much becasue it can make you look like your in a wedding instead. If it is dark yellow then try oranges or reds.

personally, i would go with something blue, like a blue necklace pendant. that would work on blue eyes.well mabey depending on what color eyes you have. prom/grad pics dont look good unless your eyes look faboulous. if you have green eyes, you can go for a darker blue, or a seafoam green look for your eyes, very light though. subdelty is the key. now if you have brown eyes, the key is to go with something that will highlight your eyes. try champagne colored eyeshadow. hopefully i'm imagining the same color dress as you have..

I would wear silver shoes and silver accessories. Maybe a simple silver necklace and small earrings. I would keep my makeup clean and fresh looking, meaning a little liquid foundation, a cool color lip gloss (in the pink or nude family) and mascara.

I always suggest going with colors that show well with your natural colors. Check out what your skin tones, eyes, hair, etc. is and play with colors that compliment them that way. I don't recommend matching to clothing without consideration of the forementioned idea.

make up colors should always depend on your skin tone, as some colors may look good on some people, yet make others look "washed out"
