the most under rated position is DB yea it seems easy but its actually hard to be able to read the receiver and QB and make a decision when your in zone coverage its the hardest position to play

After hearing fullback so many times it seem overrated and not underrated. Some formations don't even use fullbacks including the spread formation and the single back formation. Besides most fullbacks only get like small amounts of yards each season. Offensive lineman barely get any credit even during big plays and that makes them the most underrated players on teams. Even ESPN's Ultimate NFL Depth Chart leaves them out of the 5 categories for judging teams (passing, running game, pass defense, rush defense, receiving corps). These guys have probably the toughest job and have to block +300 pound people from getting to the backfield. If they miss just one block the whole play can be ruined. So even with all that pressure on them, people barely recognize their work and talent.

The most underrated position in football is the Nose Guard in a 4-3 defensive scheme. The NG's job is to keep OL off of the MLB so he can make tackles.

The most underrated position is the Offensive Tackle on the QB's blind side. He is usually the most talented of the offensive linemen, because he is charged with protecting the QB from oncoming pass rushers that the QB would not be able to see.

I think fullback is a very underrated position. Many of the top running backs in the game today would not be putting up the same numbers if they didn't have a great fullback in front of them.

offensive line. becasue they determine how well a quarter back plays. you can have the best qb in the world but if he doesnt have time to throw the ball he will not be efective. that is why peyton is so good. he has had the best o-line. also they help rb's get big holes to run through, that is why james was also so effective. the best teams usually always have at least one pro bowl or two offensive lineman. they dont get the glory or attention but there real important. that is why teams always draft them high in the first round.

i'd say it's probably the center. they have more responsibilty than any other linemen, because it's up to them to snap the ball good every time, and after that, they have to take on a nose tackle, or even linebackers at times. i know the center sometimes gets help from a guard, or helps with a double-team, but it's still the only O-line position that touches the ball.

I think the most underrated position is the tight end. Not only do you have to catch passes, but you have to block on passing plays that arent intended for you and you have to block on running plays.

Offensive line or fullback. Sure the QBs r good, but try put Tom Brady and LT in the Texans backfield??
They'll be sacked or brought down before the receivers even start their route

It is usually most of the players on the Offensive Line. I would say Guards more so than Tackles but only a few tackles get media attention as well.
