I want to know how to protect access to my email account by knowing the required steps in creating a form of password for it

Go to the log in page, and click 'Forgot Password.'
They will contact you by email account associated with that account.

feeble protection mind you, but it is via the Mail control panel (start run/ control panel/ mail). Then profiles.
this "protection" might stop a kid, but not anyone else who wants in.
TrueCrypt has a profile cipher that would stop most anyone, mind you that you still would have to worry about trojans.
If you are worried about the psycho bf/gf you might have to step it up a notch, and have your machine professionally cleaned. The easy stupid spy tools, could be ran and installed by even a "redneck".
