I guess i would read the office manual and guidelines. I know our office is a little more relaxed these days open toed shoes.
Thank you for not wearing your beach attire to the office, it has been and aways should be, dresses, skirts, suits and heels...you don't see the guys getting to wear sandals and beach shorts.

This depends on what type of office environment you work in and how highly visible your position is. I work for the federal government and 9 times out of 10 my position isn't highly visible, so I don't ever think twice about wearing sleeveless tops, open toe shoes (or even jeans). However, there are times where I'm in a position to fill in or backup someone from another office and I then AM highly visible to executive level staff (and the director of our entire agency). These are the times when I exercise caution in what I wear. In the summer time, open toe shoes are becoming more and more acceptable. Consult with your immediate supervisor. There may be a summer dress policy in effect that you may be unaware of.

I think you can wear sleeveless stuff as long as it fits right and isn't too revealing! And I wear flip flops to the office all the time and I don't think anyone is too concerned! But we are kinda laid back! You might look over the dress code rules at your work or discuss it with someone higher up that you are close with! I'm sure they will let you know what is appropriate atire at your place of business!! Or if your managers are doing it go for it and see if you get in trouble! Good luck with that and always look cute!!

You need to do what you feel that makes you look your best to go along with doing your best work. Clothes should not be a deterrent but be comfortable, clean and pressed, and be appropriate to the work setting. A polo or shirt and tie is fine to sell cars in the Texas heat, but not in the manager's office. A light weight suit or shirt and tie would be more appropriate. Just don't worry about the others in the office and do what you feel is appropriate.

only if you are a manager. If you feel you want to wear such attire, ask your superiors if you are allowed to. I sold cars and had to dress professionally, but the guys who were there for a year or more got to wear polo style shirts. I wasn't allowed to do so. Just ask them.

i imagine this is okay to placed on open toe shoes so long because the elements is allowing. the major is that the shoes do not look summery. i'd not placed on a sandal, yet a peep toe shoe is proper. stick to darker colors and stay faraway from something too strappy.

Different offices have different standards. I agree with you, but I've had employees come in with clothes that I was embarrassed by. You just have to decide if it is bad enough that you want to work somewhere else.
