First let me stress that I dais MANY and not ALL people on welfare. Secondly, I am able to admit my shortcomings...I sometimes am stuck up and I sometimes am a ***** but do you know what? I have certian VALUES. One is I will never have a child unless I can support him or her. If you can't feed em' don't breed em'. That is why I finished SCHOOL and am in college so I can get a good job and make my own money. The library is open to all people if you know what I mean.

What does "eat better" mean? The fact that they get more quantity? It can't be the quality of the food because it seems that there are many obease people on welfare. I think people that get state aid have to make their dollar streach by buying a lot of cheaper foods like pasta and lots of other processed, foods. I guess you point is that you are resentful that you have to go to work and you still don't feel you have enough while others don't work and have lots (like food). Is this what you are saying in your question?

It depends on the person. There are some that cheat the system. Then there are others that get help from family. Then there's the ones that only had welfare. My mother was disabled and couldn't work. My father wasn't there and didn't pay child support. The rest of my family was on welfare too. So we couldn't get help from them either. My mother only got $400 from ssi and $70 in food stamps. They said her income was to high for section8. For the last 2 wks of every month we didn't have any food at all. The only time me and my brother eat was at school. Most winters my mother didn't have a coat to wear. Me and my brother only had 3 outfits. We didn't have name brand cloths or shoes. We got are shoes from payless and our cloths from the sale rack at kmart. Maybe your question should be why do "some" people on welfare eat and live better then people who work.

Most people don't eat and live better on welfare. There are some that cheat the system by collecting welfare and working off the books at the same time. Those people need to be turned in and prosecuted.

Are you freaking KIDDING me?!?!?!?!? Tell me how living in a roach-infested apartment (no matter how spotless you keep your place otherwise) building in a crackhead neighborhood and having to take the freaking bus to the grocery store (or anywhere!!) when you live in a city that's infamous for urban sprawl is "living better than people who WORK". Tell me how stretching food out to meet the needs of your kids for the month and sacrificing meals for yourself some days is "eating better than people who WORK"--ESPECIALLY SINCE MANY PEOPLE ON WELFARE DO WORK BUT ARE STILL FREAKING DIRT POOR BECAUSE THE ONLY JOBS THEY'RE QUALIFIED TO GET DON'T PAY CRAP!!! You need to seriously get off your high horse, you utter moron; you don't even know you're riding it backwards.

Don't generalize.

Welfare people have no choice but to receive the money. It is a handout and they know it. It is poverty at its definition in a developed country like ours.

We fight wars to help other countries, to establish democracy and we spend billions of dollars - and we cannot take care of our own?

Just because a few in the group on welfare do illegal things with the money, it does not mean every one is so.

I have never been on one, and I do not think I ever will. But I do feel for the unfortunate few amongst us who cannot afford things that we take for granted.

Recently I turned to a neighbor and asked for them if they were interested in weed eating, the first think they told me is their fee was $40.00 per hour. I found that interesting since they do not work. The following day they told me it was too much work.

My obervation is that daily a bus picks them up, they get there lunch delivered and they have their rent paid for, they have there medical paid for and the police and fire department show up several times per year.

All expenses paid on behalf of the taxpayer.

What the neighbors motivation when as a society continues to
support those who lack motivation or lack of desire.

You have got to be ******* kidding me! Have YOU ever actually tried to live off welfare?

Try it for one month: $23 per week. You are not allowed to drive your car, stock up on food beforehand, or accept food or $$ from anyone else (because you could be reported and cut off for life).

Good luck you spoiled snot-nosed brat. I doubt you have the spine.

I don't think they do...it is your perception...many of these people are very sick and cannot work...why don't you just be greatful for you life...and quit being envies of everyone else...it is not becoming of you.

You call me a whore...and you don't even know me...just because I dress in tight clothes and YOU can't does NOT make me a whore..it makes you jealous.

as far as the nickname tinatightpants..i did not give that to myself..some guys did..so don't blame me.

Wait until you retire and need help. Then you will see you have to sell everything you worked hard for before you get any help for the Services YOU paid Taxes for.
