You'll never believe what helped me MORE than anything else. I'd been riding Western for awhile, but when I took up dressage and English riding, I began losing my tummy and getting real abs! I lost a bunch of inches! Particularly, with the jumping! At first, I lost no weight, only size...but what an advantage!
I might add that NO kind of exercise other than that, ever did all that much for me, without huge overall weight loss. Wish I could still afford to indulge, in it.

Eat right (I find South Beach has been the most effective for me) and excercise-Don't forget warm-up and cool down.
A half hour-hour of brisk walking each day or two (Don't forget to walk more slowly for ~10 minutes before and after) is usually within most people's acceptable level of excercise.
According to a Reader's Digest article that I read, diet gets the weight off faster, but excercise keeps it off.
Just don't throw it up, that causes a lot more problems than it solves.

Yes. Eat Walmart Vanilla yogurt with pecans. Eat it daily up to 3 of them. Take a muliti-vitamin daily. Once or twice a week, eat a Healthy Choice dinner. Exercise 5 days per week and watch the pounds go off that tummy!

You have to lose the fat that's over the stomach muscles. You must eat a healthy diet AND do ab strengthening exercises... you are building the muscle while you are burning the fat. The two will come together. It won't be easy... it takes determination but it's well worth it in the end.

Do not eat anything white...no potatoes, white bread etc.No desserts, nothing with sugar in it like ice cream or cola.
Eat vegetables, brown rice, 2 percent milk, fruits and fish in moderation.
Do situps, walking and other exercise regularly for six months.
Keep it up and say to your self everyday..."If I keep this routine, I will have a Flat stomach and If I don't, I will have a Fat stomach!

It's in your genes to have a big stomach. I'm older and I'm thin and I do all the abdominal excercises in the world, but my family has a history of larger stomachs. I hate to tell you this, but if it's hereditary, nothing you do will totally get rid of it. You can minimize it be staying slim and exercising, but you'll never really have a flat stomach.
