1990 Honda Accord occasionally (like a couple times a month) will not start. Usually this happens after it was running and then restarted. My boyfriends does the same thing, but his has something to do with the sport button on the shifter. Could it be an ignition terminal or ignition coil causing the problem?

Need a little more info. Does it not "crank" , crank but not "fire", or kind-of starts but dies.

Is it an auto transmission?

Does it matter if it's hot or cold outside?

What changes take place before it starts? For example do you let it sit for 30 minutes? Do you just keep trying and after 5-6 tries it starts?

Also have you noticed any change in your car lately. Does it idle rough, gas millage different, any recent repairs?

Sorry I don't have an easy answer.

Does it turn over, but not start.
Or, does it do nothing at all?
