I would really like to buy the biUbe fish aquarium. It's very attractive and seems sturdy and space friendly. My main concern is the loudness of the pump. I don't want to buy another aquarium, and get it home and it sounds like a damned bulldozer. Any suggestions? Much appreciated.

No, and i wouldnt use it if you paid me. Those tanks are just big bowls. Bowls with minimum surface area, inadequite filtration, and smallness. Trust me, a cool looking planted tank, with happy healthy colorful fish looks infinately better than a bowl. Just get a tank. A 30 gallon isnt that big and is easy to use, and you can use silent filtration if you want. Of course bigger is better.

If you do choose to go with a tank here is a great forum http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?act=idx

in my opinion Bi-orbs are next to ineffective, even though having owned the two aquariums i will certainly say that Bi-ubes are greater easy to maintain. inspite of this, the two tanks have awful filtration structures and thank you to the tall profiles of those tanks, they have a low floor section which will positioned limits on stocking. For a lots smaller sum of money you need to purchase a acceptable glass aquarium with a clear out, heater and lighting fixtures. the place Bi-orbs and Bi-ubes are in contact backside dwellers alongside with Corydoras and the favored Algae eaters must be prevented. no longer in basic terms are they too huge for those aquariums however the substrate provided with the tanks is amazingly sharp, which will reason some severe injury to the fish's mushy mouths as they root around for foodstuff.

I would never buy either of those. To me they are just really expensive bowls and if I'm going to spend that much money I would rather spend it on a nice tank.
