Check whether u have too many programs that start along with the computer in the startup... go to Start -> Run and type msconfig and click the startup folder and uncheck all unneccessary programs that startup... This will speed up the process... Also check whether ur computer is affected by any virus.. and that ur disks have no errors... during the startup the operating system checks ur hard drives... If they contain errors then it takes a long time to startup...
Hope that helps...

one your pc is outdated not enough processing power and two not enough ram i think the minimum reqmnt for xp is 256. expanding the memory will help but don't expect a lot. if you don't want to buy a new pc then just use an older os xp eats a lot of your resources try using 2000 or even better 98

Your ram is quite low.I believe 256k ram is recommended as the minimum ram for xp.Your processor is a little outdated also. Most computers now have at least 1gb processing power.
So those two hardware issues are part of the problem.
The solution is that you either upgrade your hardware or downgrade your opperating software.

the prosseser is too slow, not enough RAM, and it might be how much hard drive space you have left, if u r conected to the internet it might be viruses, the will slow a computer down.

dont worry. i also have your problem becoz i have the configuration for my PC.
try to increase your RAM. it will have some effect.
But i recommend u that keep less programs on winXP and install Win2000 on your PC.
To monitor ram and free it use FreeRamXP
