Nature posesses all things. What are good and which are bad are decided on average study. It has been proved that tobacco smoking is injurious to health.
Natural medicines are always good but tobacco is not considered as medicine.

It is never good for you to smoke anything. It is never good to inhale any smoke. That said, some tobacco is worse than others. Most cigarettes are sugar cured, which increases it's cancer causing effects, and most cigarettes are treated with chemicals which make them more deadly than just natural tobacco is when it is natural. Santa Fe tobacco company sells natural tobacco, but I would never smoke anything. I will say that I have actually smelled the difference in the second hand smoke of the natural cigarettes vs the commercial cigarettes.

No, tobacco is not good for you or anyone at all. Tobacco is not natural at all. Why because tobacco has over 4000 chemicals 50 of them are known to cause cancer and 40 of them are known to cause birth defects the rest are very dangerous to your body. That is why people who smoke get throat cancer, lung cancer, mouth cancer, etc. Some people ask so then why sell tobacco when it's known to be very dangerous? Well first of all them make very good money off of it, second of all some people are addicted to it already so they are not going to stop buying it the Tobacco industry is a Multimillion Dallor business. I'm going to give you some web site so that you can check it out for your self. Go to www.cancer.org and www.smokingsucks.ca/gross_out/whats_hidden.html
Hopefully you get the picture and think twice about Tobacco. Good luck!

Tobacco is very natural and is completely harmless when left alone as nature intended. The harm comes from smoking it which is not in natures plan.
Another point, you're suggesting that if something grows naturally it should be good for you. Mandrake is a natural plant, but it sure isn't healthy to eat. Just a small amount of mandrake root or leaf will end all of your problems.
Same for Belladonna berries. They're very plentiful in the North East, but are just as deadly as the Beautiful Lady they're named after.

Medicinally it is used as a sedative, diuretic, expectorant, discutient, and sialagogue, and internally only as an emetic, when all other emetics fail. The smoke injected into the rectum or the leaf rolled into a suppository has been beneficial in strangulated hernia, also for obstinate constipation, due to spasm of the bowels, also for retention of urine, spasmodic urethral stricture, hysterical convulsions, worms, and in spasms caused by lead, for croup, and inflammation of the peritoneum, to produce evacuation of the bowels, moderating reaction and dispelling tympanitis, and also in tetanus. To inject the smoke it should be blown into milk and injected, for croup and spasms of the rima glottides it is made into a plaster with Scotch snuff and lard and applied to throat and breast, and has proved very effectual. A cataplasm of the leaves may be used as an ointment for cutaneous diseases. The leaves in combination with the leaves of belladonna or stramonium make an excellent application for obstinate ulcers, painful tremors and spasmodic affections. A wet Tobacco leaf applied to piles is a certain cure. The inspissated juice cures facial neuralgia if rubbed along the tracks of the affected nerve. The quantity of the injection must never exceed a scruple to begin with; half a drachm has been known to produce amaurosis and other eye affections, deafness, etc.

For more than ten thousand years, aboriginal Americans have been using tobacco for its analgesic effects.
During 2005, BRASCAN began marketing the luxury Monte Christo brand of mildly Analgesic Cigarettes containing Central Canadian tobacco in Brazil.
I am a very old man with terminal cancer and 'easy' access to prescribed nacotics at the local pharmacy. At this time, I am smoking my pipe with aromatic Dutch pipe tobacco.
I've smoked since I was eight years old. On my last "lung capacity test", my measurement was at the 18 year old scale.
If second hand smoke is the cause of pancreatic cancer, for what reasons are we looking into alternatives?
My family physician, as well as all of the specialists who I see, approve. A highly respected internal medicine cosultant went so far as to advise me not to stop. I am glad because I don't have any narcotics in my apartment.

As many people have mentioned - not everything natural is safe. Heck! All the bacteria and viruses that cause disease and death are ... er.... natural!!
Tobacco is harmful, addictive and in my opinion a wrongly legalised narcotic/drug.
Cigarettes etc are so much more toxic as the smoke actually contains more than 4000 toxic chemicals - from nicotine to carbon monoxide. It causes cancer, more of tuberculosis, can wreck your eating, cause a heart attck, burn a hole in your wallet and kill your social life! So.... is smoking good??!!

The surgeon general has determined that tobacco smoking is not only not good for you, it will kill you in a slow, painful way.
The nonsmoking public has determined that tobacco smoking is not only not good for you, it is offensive, smelly, and dirty.
A huge number of fire departments have determined that not only is smoking not good for you, it leads to the deaths an maiming of thousands of people - many who were just innocently sleeping when a smoker managed to murder them by fire.
Finally, I have determined that not only is smoking not good for you, but it makes you look like a moron.

A lot of people may be wrong. Many instantaneously deadly poisons are found naturally, but it doesn't mean they are good for you. Just like such natural things as cobra bites or shark attacks.
