My husband doesn't feel differently. He wants it just as often as he did before. He had his almost 4 years ago.
My mom said that my dad felt differently after his. I know...having that discussion with your mom is just wrong. lol! Anyway, I guess he felt because the boys weren't functional that he was less of a man.
So I guess it depends on the guy.

I had a partner once who tried to blame his "problem" of only being able to last 30 seconds on having had a vasectomy. I didn't buy it then & I don't buy it now. From what I've heard from doctors & other men who've had them; it's not supposed to cause you to feel any differently because the actual procedure doesn't affect sensation, sex drive, performance. It's just supposed to be like a woman having a tubal ligation & nothing more. Perhaps your partner should see his doctor if he continues to feel "different".
Good luck to the both of you -

I had one 5 years ago and the is no difference in drive. If anything it should be better because it eliminates any worries about unwanted pregnancies. If your partner is having a problem he should seek the help of a qualified councilor.

It should not affect the way the man feels during sex or his sex drive at all!!! Maybe its mentally that he's a little owrried or he thinks himself less of a man b/c of the simple idea that he cannot impregnate a female. Hell, he's even more of a man b/c he took responsibility towards birth control. I even got a anecdote for you, my neighbor a gentleman thats about 80 yrs. old had this procedure done about 25-30 years ago and it worked like a charm he even tells me that he made up excuses so that him and his wife didn't have to go to bed, ha ha ha be supportive of your mate and enjoy it hell no more babies!!!

My dad had one after my parents gave birth to my little brother. I can tell you from dinner table conversation that his sex drive was not affected. If he feels like something is different he should talk to a doctor about it.

I had one last year...sex drive is the same.
Things can also be handled a little, um, rougher now. Instead of pain it actually feels ok.
Don't know if anyone else has had that experience or not.

he shouldn't...the only thing a vasectomy may do is alleviate any fears about getting you pregnant, so he may be more relaxed...other than that, there is no physical change or effect

had one, and it was liberating to know that i cannot produce any more children...it was a relief to myself and my wife. the sex part was always good, but now there are no thoughts of "did we take all the needed precautions" type of things...maybe that's what he is feeling?
