I wanted to see the 2012 Summer Olympics in New York City but since I did not think that the Big Apple coulde host the Summer Olympics in 2012 with the 2010 Winter Olympics being held on the same continent in Vancouver, British Columbia Canada, I wanted London to host the Summer Olympics first, Madrid second, Moscow third, and Paris last.

The Olympic organising team did an amazing job to win the 2012 games for London. Unfortunately the UK Government are incompetent money wasters. We have not had a national footbal stadium in the UK since labour took office and the Dome is and always was a farce. Transport is a shambles, I hope I am wrong, but I think it will be a disaster waiting to happen. Please keep the labour party as far away from the games as possible.

I can not see any benefit to the UK and only little to London as the transport will be a nightmare. Also it would appear that the Olympic committee have not been able to buy all the land for the venues as yet. And with this government past history of building structure on budget and on time, like the Dome and Wembly it will cost 3 times more than budgeted for in my opinion.Know a waste of Tax payers money. sorry.

I think the olympics should have been done in Moscow, because Russia is more interesting.i heard the olympics in london would be a waste of taxpayer's money, and the olympics sites being white elephants just having no other purpose than the olympics

I'll be certainly supporting the Olympics of 2012 in the UK (and if I am in a position to do so will even try and host the Samoan delegation)

i'm from the uk, and i think it sucks that whenever there is a bid for something like this, it ALWAYS has to be London!!!

Why not pick somewhere more central so that its more available for EVERYBODY??

I mean, people from the south west have best part of 200 miles to travel, from newcastle its around 300+ and from the likes of inverness in northern scotland its probably in the region of 500 miles.....

Personally i think the uk is a bad place to host it, prices are too high, traffic is impossible, and its now inhabited with more foreigners than brits

They will be good and I am looking forward to them but I can't see them being of any advantage to the UK once they are over. We (the residents of London) will be paying for them for years to come and we will be left with a lot of derelict sports facilities that no one can afford to keep open.

Course it will be a success. It bring a vast improvement to the East End of London area and its housing. It will bring jobs to the South East for builders and other sectors.

IT WILL BE NOTHING BUT COMPLETE FUN!!!!
I've got cousins in London, and they should have fun going there.
If i were in those Olympics,i'd be 19 years old.

But don't worry, there's six more years until London 2012 starts.
