I am after canvas that I can stitch my own designs on, rather than kits of other people's designs.

You can buy Aida, Hardangar. eavenweave and other needlework/tapestry media from any good sewing/craft shop. I think there is a stall on Par market if you are in Cornwall, or if elsewhere, try a cross stitch shop. If they don't seel it, go on t'internet.

It depends on how far west you are.
Hobbycraft have shops in Bristol and Bournemouth.

There is The Sherborne Tapestry Centre
1, Cheap St, Sherborne, Dorset DT9 3PT
Tel: 01935 815361

The Embrodiery Studio
Mangerton Mill, Mangerton, Bridport, Dorset DT6 3SG
Tel: 01308 485798

As I said it depends where you want to look.

Dave B - give me a closer target area and I may be able to help.
