Who's "worried" about it? Not many.

Yeah, and actors, too. It's absurd. Like the girl who asks whether so-and-so is married. What possible difference does it make to you what his private life is about? You're not going to be having a personal relationship with him, so why does it matter? Performers are about fantasies in that regard, not realities. I adore Johnny Depp, and people can't wait to tell me he's gay or he's bi. (I figure bi; see Don Juan de Marco. Nobody, not even Depp, is THAT good an actor!) So what? I have no chance whatsoever of making an impression on him, so leave me to my fantasies and forget so-called reality.

Because we're supposed to "celebrate" diversity, so if we're going to do that, we need to know who the toast of the party is going to be.

I'm only half joking. The whole "who's gay" thing wouldn't be such a big deal if BOTH sides of the disagreement wouldn't call such attention to it.
