Darcy, ya know ya teacher wants your answer not ours.... but here goes anyway... well not a straight answer but a way to think it through for yourself...

chemistry is central to all of the above careers because it is the understanding of chemical reactions of various substances that these jobs are focussed on.

think about the basics of chemistry

solid, liquid, gas

what happens when this gas is mixed with that gas?
what happens when this gas is blended with that liquid?
how do we know the answers to these things?
what happens when this solid is heated?
what happens when that liquid is frozen?

each of the careers you have mentioned deal with these questions and other similar questions.

Darcy, you really should be doing your own homework!!

Forensic - chemistry is central in determining time of death based on decomposing bioological material
Fireman - chemistry of different fire retardents will determine which fires they can extinguish
Painter - chemistry is necessary in mixing materials to come up with different colous and types of paint (latex, acrylic, etc.)
Photographer - chemistry is vital in knowing what materials to mix to develop photographs
