Don't worry about it. One, two, five, or ten years from now, no one will care and it won't matter. Just let them make their jokes. It may hurt your feelings now but in the end, it doesn't matter what you height it.
My wife is 5'0 even. I love her and adore her very much. She is the light of my world and the most beautiful woman I've ever seen.

Well, this question will hopefully help you collect snappy come-backs for when this happens. I have a more serious point to make. Please realize that when we finally get going into space, as we were supposed to have been doing by now (2001: A Space Odyssey suggests we're way behind schedule!), you and your descendants will be the ones who get to go, and my kind (huge) will be left behind. Or perhaps we'll have to pay by mass for our tickets, and I could never afford to go. Short and slight, but healthy, is the way of the future for our species.

Don't worry. They are laughing because they want something you have. Maybe a cool mom or a new soundsystem. If you don't like it dat much tell them. If they keep doing it they are not true friends.
