The way you don't "look" lonely, is by not being lonely. Your face will not lie....if you're lonely, you're going to show it on your face. Find something to do, or meet someone, to help with your loneliness. Good Luck!

BY changing the situation by not being lonely any more its things like that that you just cant hide find a friend there is someone out there who will love you for you.

Smile a lot and wave at people you don't know and ask them "how's it goin?" Have animated conversations on your cell phone even when there is no-one at the other end. Carry two phones and pretend you have to put one person on hold to answer the other phone. Everyone will either think you're one busy popular person with loads of friends and associates or that your are completely nuts and belong in an asylum. It all depends on your acting skills.
