YESS - especially the part about "the more you repeat a word... the wronger that word sounds." Here's a word. Try saying it over and over again, like 20 times. By the time you finish, it will have lost all meaning. Ready? Here's the word: "Submarine." Now say it with me repeatedly:
Submarine
Submarine
Submarine
Submarine
Submarine
Submarine
Submarine
Submarine
Submarine
Submarine
Submarine
Submarine
Submarine
Submarine
Submarine
Yeah, keep going and get back to me later.

when you type or write simple everyday words in capital letters sometimes they don't look like they are spelt right...... do you ever get that? never seems that way to me.
..... also the more you repeat a word... the wronger that word sounds... or is it just me? guess it's just you, buddy, because the more I repeat it, the more right it seems.

Just saying your own NAME over and over will eventually make it sound meaningless to you.
Im thinking there's chemical synapse degradation, that synapse gets fatigued and stops working to provide the memory associated with the name. Maybe thats how Alzheimer's starts...
As far as a word looking misspelled when it isn't, that one I dont have. But I would make one heckuvan English teacher, I see mistakes in spelling all the time and it just jumps out at me when I read.

I don't really know about the capital letters thing(except that it bugs me because it's the typing equivalent of shouting), but I know what you're saying about repeating the same word over and over. One that plagues me every once in a while is 'purse'.....

the repetition thing gets me quite a lot, often I think people's names sound really odd if you keep saying it over and over. I am useless at spelling at the best of times, I used to be great at school but now I am hopeless!!
