If you can find it in stores, Lestoil. I found some at Kroger and used it for that (Full Strength on a paper towel). It was wonderful. I use it for almost everything. However, are the handles wood? If so, and if you are handy, take them off and lightly sand them. If they are painted then just sand them real good and repaint.

The easiest way is to remove the handles (they probably just screw on) and soak the handles in hot soapy water. Clean the cabinet door with pine sol poured into a bucket of hot water.

Use Grease Lightening...I cleaned the grease off my cabinets, stove, frig & walls. It works great...like it melts that old grease & gunk almost instantly. My frig & stove looked brand new. You can get it for around $3 a bottle & they just came out with one for the kitchen too!

Use Murphy's Oil Soap (follow dilution instructions on the bottle) and scrub with a soft to medium toothbrush.

If it is easy to remove the handles, or even loosen then so you can get under then, do that, then use a good household cleaner with ammonia in it.
