WHy does the US National teams stink?

I mean we lost World Cup, World Baseball Classic, we usually do well at olympics, and we lost at SOFTBALL!

lol...having a good national side usually requires a huge talent pool to draw upon, which in turn only comes about after interest in the sport...plus Bruce Arena is sh*thouse
