My family and I are going to World's End state park for a whole week starting on the 7th of this month. I've looked and looked but can't find hardly anything nearby listed. Anyone local to that area know any good places to visit while we are staying there? I ask because last year we stayed at Cook's Forest and there was so much to do there, we had a blast. Thanks.

There isn't a whole lot close to there, other than the park itself. There are some neat caves a little distance away. I enjoy Penns Cave because you see it on a boat. You won't need to spend too much time there because it is a fairly small cave. If you go, take a jacket - it's 52 degrees year round!

Too bad I got to this question on the 7th. There's a ton of waterfalls in Sullivan County, but Ricketts Glen, I believe is still closed due to the extensive amount of flood damage.

Lots of good hiking.. and of course, lots of waterfalls. For the most part, the area of the state you are in is mostly just country-esque with an occasional covered bridge and waterfall here and there.

I think I need to search these things more frequently.

The only city of any size nearby is Williamsport.
Here is their website:

Williamsport is most famous for holding the Little League World Series and having the Little League Museum. There are several other museums in town.

There isn't a whole lot tourism-wise in that section of northern PA. My Mom was born in Wilkes Barre and still has relatives in Canton, so I have visited the area, and it's mostly farms and hills. Nice hills, but scenery can only take you so far.

Have fun on vacation!
