I am moving in to a new apartment and I am trying to find the best way to clean and sanitize before I move everything in. It is clean I just want to make sure it is sanitized. It seems like there is a powder dust from painting and repairs made.

ALL Floors: Wash and/or vacuum throughout

Kitchen: Clean countertops, dust and wipe appliances, spot-clean cupboard fronts and wash floors. Use a disinfectant.

Bathrooms: Spotlessly clean sinks, tubs, toilets and wipe counters. Use disinfectant.

All rooms: Clean and dust baseboards, pictures, lampshades, knick-knacks, windowsills, furniture, basic light fixtures, and vacuum floors.

Alot of rubbing alcohol. I use it to clean my bathroom in between cleanings. I also use it to wipe down the countertops and anything else non-porous. It will help neutralize odors.

pine sol or another good disinfectant will do....use just a capful in a pail for walls....more for surfaces, even more for bathrooms. and don't forget doorknobs, and light switches.(often overlooked when cleaning and a great place for microbes to grow)
