why would they immediately think of japanese, chinese, vietnamese, taiwanese, koreans... when indians (from india), malaysians, filipinos, lebanese, arabians(from saudi arabia) are also asians?

Because most of the population of Asia are made of Chinese, Japanese, etc. with chinky eyes.

Some people have more intellect than to refer to Asians as people with "chinky eyes". Some people just don't know any better and feel that this is acceptable. That is why you hear many people refer to Asians as "Oriental", although Oriental should only refer to in-adamant objects.

because of their own ignorance to actually learn something about the actual Asian culture. They learn only what they want to learn and not what they really should. Sort of like the old saying, "A person can not accept what they don't understand." And not willing to learn to understand!!!!

well its because they are racist or just brought up to call them that. Where i live people call Chinese chinks. I don't but others do you just have to put up with their racism
