I love Nirvana, They are my second favorite band of all time and always have been but Smells like Teenspirit isnt their best song. I wonder if its just because its overplayed...like uh, Is it really a good song? i think it might be but thanks to MTV for butt-shagging another song.

Overplayed. I hate the fact they will pick one song and run it into the ground when there are several other songs that can be played. You almost never hear anything off Bleach and that has to be my favorite album by them.

overplayed. I wasnt even 5 when Nirvana came out but after hearing smells like teen spirt, I became a huge Nirvana fan. The chords, the riffs, curt's singing, everything about it is good. It is kinda their "big hit" song like Blvd of broken dreams for green day, its the most played but it sucks compared to most of their other songs. MTV has done this to every good band since Dire Straits in the 1980s. RIP CURT!

It's overplayed. My favorite Nivana song,Verse Chorus Verse, is almost never played on the radio. And when you fool yourself..it will make em happy... What I like about it other then the stylistic songwriting is the way Kurt bangs on the strings during the guitar solo. It's on the No Alternative compilation CD.
