Think about it for a moment...
How long does it take to stick a piece of paper into an envelope? A couple seconds? So even with sealing the envelope and sticking on the address label, you could probably stuff 3 or 4 a minute minimum. That would be 180 to 240 an hours.

What are they offering to pay an envelope? Even if it is only $1.00 each, that's $180 to $240 dollars an hour. And they usually promise a lot more.

Why would any legitimate company pay $180.00 an hour for an envelope stuffer (plus the cost of getting you the material, trusting that you will do it unsupervised, no way to be sure you didn't just throw it all in the trash and send them the bill, etc.) when they can get a teenager or college student in their office where they can supervise them for (what's minimum wage now) $5.50 an hour? Plus they have machines that will stuff, seal, label and stamp 300 to 400 hundred mailers an hour for free.

What they will have you do is pay $30 for a list of people that they got from a spammer somewhere, offering that person a job stuffing envelopes. If anyone does respond, sending in their own $30 for a stuffing job, you get $5 (or some other small amount) and the other $25 goes back to the person who started the scam. With luck you might get one response from every 500 you mail out (Do the math 500x37 cents per letter to get $5.00 back. Hmmm...)

It is a rip off.
