Light chest pains with anxiety? Doc put me on Lexapro, he said my heard sounds fine, and I had an echogram stress test done 6 months ago.. All came out ok. I was on Celexa for probably 15 yrs , and I started feeling anxiety again. So he changed it to lexapro, but I am still having light chest pains. He said the medicine might take 2 weeks to fully kick in. Is this normal with the chest pain. Like I said its very small light ones, and they just come and go. Please all advise is important to me. Serious answers only plzzzzzzzz..

yes chest pain is common with anxiety attacks. with these attacks-your heartrate and blood pressure rise-putting pressure on the heart to pump blood faster which causes the chest pain.

give the lexapro a chance to get into your system and fully do it's job-it will take 2 weeks for this medication to fully start working.

Get some Cayenne Pepper capsules and take about 3 per day with food. This will increase the blood flow efficiency to your heart and should eliminate any pains during anxiety. Since this is a food product there is no danger of side effects. Good Luck.

Yes, I get lots of chest pains with stress and anxiety. The medication I am on helps but does not get rid of them completely. Mine are excrutiatingly painful and feel like what I imagine a heart attack would feel like. I used to get them several times a day but while on anti-anxiety medication I only get a them a couple of times a week.

Yes, I did a search on lexapro and one of the less common side effects is chest pain. Just type in leaxpro in the search bar and you will find out everything you need to know. Please let your doctor know about you side effects.

yes light chest pains are normal (for me anyway), thats how my anxiety was diagnosed. i went to the doctor because of the chest pains. i still get them some times even with meds. when i get them now, i try and control them with my breathing. i take deep slow breaths to calm down/relax. hope that helps...

i must admit i've never heard of this before
so i won't be much help.
but when the pains happen, does it hurt more or less if you take deep breaths while they're happening? maybe just exercising with your breath, make it slow and steady, will help? or maybe an acupuncturist? my mom's cured everything for her from depression to a pimple, seriously.
Dd this help?

Nothing seems to be wrong except that you worry too much.
