68? I wish. I'd make the hour trip up there for a year round temp of 68.
The Median Temperature (that's just a fancy way of saying average) in January is 40 at night and 60.3 during the day. In July it's 73.4 at night and 95 during the day.
The annual mean temperature is 68.5

I could compare Austins Temperature to Phoenix Arizona. It is sooo hot. Usually in July it gets up to like 105 the highest and 96 prolly the lowest it isn't 68 degrees and it feels 10 degrees hotter because it is so humid there.

That's an average, honey. I live in San Antonio and went to college in San Marcos. San Antonio is one hour away and San Marcos is like 15 minutes away. I have been to our great capital many times. Here's the deal. It's usually in the 90's in Sept - Dec. with occasional cold fronts which will bring the temperature down anywhere from the 50's to the 80's for a few days and then it's back up again. From Jan through May, the weather is usually back and forth between the 50's to the 80's but there is usually lots of sunshine. And, in May it starts back a climb to the ninety's but there are some days with lots of rain and it will drop again. Today it is in the 80's lots of cloudiness but humid. June and July are really nice and dry usually but occassionally a rain storm will come in from the gulf and it will be humid.

I hope this helps.
