Do you think there are more rock singer/bands or more R&B singers today ?
Personally, I think we hear a lot of rock songs but also a lot of "new" R&B singers.
And what do you think about "Britpop" music ?
I'd like a lot of replies.

It's not really rock though is it. It's more like rock-lite. It's too....poppy.
There are too many 'britpop' bands hailing from our beloved shores these days. They all sound the same. Someone needs to break free and do something original because it's just getting old.

Britpop is now being studied at GCSE level, as of September, so is a truly legit musical style!! Trouble is, it actually covers a lot of differing styles and bands, so good luck to us music teachers!
Speaking of which, there is about an equal share of "rock" and "R&B" music being listened to in the teen population - it all depends whether you are a "chav" or a "grunger", as well as which radio station you listen to and at what time.

I think that it is pretty 50/50 lately. There is a lot coming from both ends, although I wouldn't say that there is much qualitiy coming from either end. I think that Britpop is ok- and thats a very mild 'ok' but I prefer a lot of the older stuff.

well at the moment there's definetly more r'n'b singers but rock bands are on the way up in the charts (at last!!) I'm not quite sure as to what 'britpop' really is. ???

Alas i think it is more R & B. I love rock and dont think any decade had better rock music than the 80's

Unfort we hear more R&B music....I like some but I prefer rock and brit pop.

i think we hear equal amounts....mostly it's what u actually like to listen to...if u like r&b u listen to that...if u like rock u listen to rock. the only problem is, rock now is turning punk and stuff...there's hardly any real rock left..but that's a whole nother subject
