Since it is an emotion (and a very powerful one at that) I don't think anyone can really control when they fall in love. What you can do however is keep thinking with your head. For instance you seem concerned about your studies. That's good. You'll want to make sure that you keep working hard, etc. But then when you have time you'll be able to get together with your love, etc. and not have to worry. Also, do keep in mind that while love is real at 16 or 60 the way you define it (that is to say the things you will likely look for in another) might change a bit over time. This is ESPECIALLY true the younger you are. So just don't go rushing into anything. Love at 16 can have you wondering what you were thinking at 18.

A child is bound to fall in love at this age, you have to assure tht it is not the wrong kind.Telling teenagers not to do something will ensure that they do it anyway.Explain the effect tht it can have on studies and hope to God that your child takes in all the advice that you give.If they have boundaries and curfews then you should be fine.

Maybe the right word is "infatuated". A 16-year old wont know the difference yet between being in love and just being infatuated with someone. It will take more experience, age and maturity to do that.

I will admit, it is very distracting at such a young age to be involved in any kind of relationship. I used to think when I was that young that older people just said not to get involved because they were being too authoritative, but looking back, it's true, and I'm only 23. While it is your decision, it does require a serious committment, so think carefully before you tread forward.

Yes, It is bad because you have all your life to fall in love. Yes, it will effect your studies, if something goes wrong your mind is not clear to think on you work. Have fun at sixteen.

well, i personally beleive it becomes important to draw line everywhere. Its not really 'bad' to fall in love at any age.. just make sure that u don't think abt it all the time.. and concentrate on studies also...
