It would be cool if Puerto Rico or the Phillipines wanted to join the union, as far as I'm concerned. Works for me.
Edit: Seems the least intelligent answers are often all in capital letters. I suppose that's no surprise. ;)

I'm thinking, call me crazy, that the people of the Philippines may not like that idea. They are an independent country and want to stay that way. That's like asking 'how about the USA as a province of Brazil'.

The infighting of the 50 member states is too much already and there's no room for another problematic state. Where in Europe is the Philippines? East Africa?
