I adore Cristiano Ronaldo. He interviewed and said, all I said was that it was foul play. he said him and rooney are friends. He said they've been talking and text messaging eachother. They BOTH deny what happened and said it was all a lie from the press and they're used to it. As much as I love Ronaldo I've heard some bad things I don't like about him. His girlfriend is 30, he was accused of rape(I dont think he did),he confessed that he slept with two women in a day, and other things.I dont like his earings either.But we cant forget hes 21 and thats not a mature age for a man yet.I still love him.he also has good things like he did some charity work and other things and is spoken highly from Scolari and teammates.He looks amazing body and face.

Rooney needs some anger management, but C. Ronaldo set him up. Ronaldo was diving and screaming all over the place. I just don't understand how some fans can like a person who cheats so much. I mean, you could actually SEE it...the wink and everything.
By the way, I was neutral to the England vs. Portugal game until it was clear that Portugal has a bunch of cheaters.
But don't worry...France is going to take them out.

This question was obvously written by someone who either doesnt appreciate the importance of the world cup or who doesn fully understand football...
Firstly, Christiano Ronaldo is well known in the UK and abroad for his on-the-ball trickery and also his theartrical diving and 'play-acting' FACT which is unsporting and unimpressive to see.
Do note contrary to what you think you know, Rooney was actually red-carded for pushing Ronaldo who had been goading him before the match and during the match Not for accidentally stepping on Carvalio's (a very dirty player too) gonads.FACT
Its not about England being 'sore-losers' but its all about Ronaldo's conduct who firstly told Rooney he would 'take him out of the game' THEN after handshaking before kick-off Ronaldo headbutted Rooney THEN Ronaldo displayed oscar-winning theatrical diving whenever anyone tried to tackle him and THEN proceeded to windup Rooney when Carvalio was writhing after the accident The result here was Rooney pushed him (Referee thought he punched him) which lead him to be sent off AT this point Ronaldo was winking to his teammates in a 'jobdone' manner. By removing Rooney our star striker meant we were down to 10men which make things harder Suffice to say if we had 11players on the pitch and the ref gave us a penalty for the blatant handball incident then we most certainly would have ben through

Who ever thinks bad of him is a dumba.ss I mean come on people. Was it because your an England fan and your dear Rooney got a red card? Pfsht, he had deserved it ages ago he had it coming to him.
Ronaldo deserves everything he is only 20 years old and look what he can do.
Portugal that day wasn't as strong as they were, loosing some of their major player because of the game before. Or else I can almost guarenteeee you that a goal would have been made by portugal long before that.
I understand your sad they left but if you had my dear Ronaldo because of that your stupid.

1.Rooney's sent off was unfair
2. Ronaldo deliberately faked the injury to make him sent off.
3. Ronaldu was provoking Rooney all game long
4.Portuguese team progressed in the tournament only by cheating: first against Holland, now against England.
Enough reasons for frustration I guess..
Not only Ronaldu but also Figu are dirt cheaters who steal victory from more worthy people.

It all opinion but let me bring my opinion with some facs around it. 1. Messi is 2 years younger, and has topped the game at very young age. 2. Messi has quick feet, and can glue the ball to his feet. he can dribble the whole defence. (those who say he needs xavi and iniesta to score, i recomend you but barca videos for 08-09 and 09-10. and besides ist football a team game???) 3.Both have scored great goals but most of messi`s goals are more difficult and are more beautiful. Ronaldo is better at header since he is 1.85m and messi is like 1.65m. 4. Messi is a better team leader, he won more titles for barca and argentina last year. I dont need statistics to know that messi is a better player.
