I guess it depends what you wanna do. You could work in a call centre which would give you a set amount of hours each week and generally it's decent money for what you're doing. With a commission based job you can earn anything over £170 a week. On the other hand there is bar work, or restaurant. Usually these have crap wages but you make it up in tips. You could make anything from £120 upwards. If you're a student you wont pay tax anyway so it's all money in your pocket.

Everything is different. No body can give you a correct answer to this. It depends on what type of job, in what area and how many hours you do!
If you earn under £120 a week you do not have to pay taxes though.
It just depends what sort of job you are looking for.

as far as I know, anyone can earn up to £94 a week tax free, students shouldn't have to pay tax anyway though .....
