The age old sense , which is apart from the five senses and also the famous sixth sense; the common sense can be defined as
A form of evidence that is based on conventional wisdom, tradition, or someone’s personal philosophy or perspective. It is hard to judge the validity and reliability of common sense because little supporting evidence is involved. Most people judge the validity and reliability of common sense by the person citing common sends as the basis for a decision. However, common sense can be a very biased approach to decision making and means nothing more than “what is common to me makes sense.”

There is Nothing common about common sense. It is an uncommon thing to not sense. To have good or greater sense is wonderful......common sense is an admonishment to another of heralding a bit of Narcissism on the part of oneself.
To see anything or anyone as common ...you only demean yourself by this comment. It is a slander of ones own goodness. Think about it.

common sense is science . common sense is a body of theory regarding matter and forces that describes physical reality using geometric models, absolute time and Galilean space in a way that is consistent with experimental observations and free of internal contradictions. The foundational principles of CSS theory are based upon the law of cause and effect and the assertion that the universe and natural phenomena are fundamentally electrical in character

Universal use of one's own reasoning when one is facing a Universal cause and effect which affect everyone at a given moment of Time. It is when your senses are in common with the rest of the human race Universaly speaking. I am repeating myself; but this should clearfy it better.

common sense is what you seriously believe. common is a word related to community therefore we can assume that is a series of laws that we have agreed to obey. i have talk with a student of philosophy a couple of times about this subject and we have end up agreeing that the size of the community influence the boundaries of the belief.

I've often heard it said that common sense is not so common. To prove this, the owner of a sleep-away camp I attended (Dennis Kiley at Camp Lenape-Bluesky) had the new camp staff participate in a secret ritual. He was very successful in making his point and it was very fun.
In any case, here's the definition I was able to find that concurred with my opinions on what common sense is:
Dictionary
common sense
n.
Sound judgment not based on specialized knowledge; native good judgment.
[Translation of Latin sÄnsus commÅ«nis, common feelings of humanity.]
Thesaurus
common sense
noun
The ability to make sensible decisions: judgment, sense, wisdom. Informal gumption, horse sense. See ability/inability.
Antonyms
common sense
n
Definition: good reasoning
Antonyms: foolishness, impracticality, insanity, unreasonableness

common sense is a human instinct that is used for defense. It is a knowledge in which one doesn't need to learn it from school because it is taught by nature.
