No...beginnings do not necessarily have to have ends. Shine a light from a flashlight into the night sky, and theoretically, the light could continue out into the universe forever...a definite beginning without an end. There are many theories about the possible beginnings and endings of the universe, and several of those theories have no "endings". I personally believe that there is no end...just an infinite future.
ps - for all you fellow Christians out there with your resounding "yes" answers, read up and then look up the words "everlasting", "forever" and "eternity"...then think about it a little.

Where is the begining point of the universe? As far as I know, the theories on there being a starting point of the universe are all pure speculation. There is no real way to find out if there is one, other than asking God himself. The theories surrounding there being a starting point of the universe all revolve around Darwin's theory of evolution. In a journal, and in his own words, Darwin stated that if ever someone were to find that the "simple cell" were any more complex than what I have discovered, my theory will be void. So by his own words, he has disproved his own theory. So to answer your question, I belive that Jesus Christ is the begining and the end, The Alpha and Omega. So if you were to find the starting point of the universe, you will find the end, which is Christ. God Bless.

I wish to remind you of the fact that the Big-Bang theory is a theory, a scenario - not the ultimate truth.
There are plenty of pragmatic observations that don't follow such a theory.
Big-Bang theory is about to be substituted by another theory, and it is the fate of any scientific theory, actually.
There exist scientific theories that consider that the Universe has not even a beginning.
Why we narrow-minded humans absolutely want the Universe to have a beginning?
Why we narrow-minded humans don't accept the fact that our own biological nature limits our concept-procreation abilities?

Sure. Most of the holy books tell us that the earth will end. and i can tell u that it's gonna end in a big bang . source the holy Qoran. Ther e are some scientific theories yhat lead to the same conclusion. and believe me it's not too far away and it'll end without any prior clue to the human race.so just wait, may be just 1000 yrs more!

Our own limited, human comprehension brings us to the conclusion that there was a beginning. We have no proof of even that. I agree witht the other guy. It is likely far too complex a concept for our little human minds.

No. Even if the Universe collapses, it will not collapse into a single point because it is not uniform in its configuration. Check out books about INFLATION.

Thinking on that subject is beyond the capabilities of the human imagination, It's just to large and is so old you would already consider it eternal
