As per the vedic scriptures - yes we own our body. The body is the possession of Atman the self - which decides to own and disown its property - the body.

When the body is in my posession - I am said to be living . When the "I" choses to disown this body, this body is called a corpse and I still exist with an option to chose another body and get delivered from this cycle of owning and disowning.

well i would like to say yes, until you give someone else ownership over it, and i don't see that happening, i know from a christian point of view, we are just a vessel, and that God is the one who owns us, who gives life and takes it away, but i think while we are living day to day we do own our bodies, because we choose what to put into it, we all make choices of what to do with ourselves when we are here on earth living, but i do think when we die that God then owns our soul.

You are not your own; you were bought at a price. I Corinthians 6:20.
If we owned our own bodies, we could stop aging, death, disease, etc.

if I don't, who does?

yes, I own my body. It's mine to do with what I will.
And if I were so inclined, I could even 'sell' it.
