Dirk Nowitzki is AWESOME. He is a great shooter and a good blocker. He is really AWESOME he can be a ball hog at sometimes but is a great shooter he would be 999,999,999,999,999, but on a score of 1-10 it would be a 10!!!!

Dirk Nowitzki is probably the best shooter at 7'0" tall I've ever seen. He has a great stroke and is almost automatic from mid-range. Although, he really needs to improve his post game and his defense. He's a major liability on defense to guard a big man. He's probably one of the top five players in the league, which is why he was a nominee for M.V.P. last year...but, I don't think he's on the level of Lebron, D-Wade, and Kobe.
Overall, I would give him a 9 on offense because of the matchup problems he gives other teams and the attention he draws. On defense I would give him a 3 because he just isn't a very good defender. Dirk is always trying to improve some aspect of his game though, so he may be still getting better.

on a 1-10 I would give him an 8! I am a Mavs fan, but you can see his talent, I mean for a 7 foot guy he can do so much and he is a great clutch player! For one, he won the three point championship, he is a great ball handeler, and he can be played at many positions (power forward, center, small forward) and almost guard! But his downfalls are his defense and when he struggles it takes him a while to get back up to his regular pace! I wouldn't even compare him to Larry Bird cause Dirk Nowitzki is better than him, look at what he can do for his team, if he can step it up a few notches on defense, he will be one of the greatest players that ever lived!

I would ive dirk a 14 out of 20,, 9 on offense and 5 on defense. He fits the mavs offense beautifully and stepped up his game this year taking them to the finals. Although he had some poor shooting performances I beleive that he is top 5, but wont brake the top 3 becuase he doenst have the high flying highlight reel game like kobe wade and lebron. Although,, he is a franchise player, and a number one fantasy pick on any draft board.

Dirk Nowitzki isn't great... I would give him a 2 b/c he helped his team win two games!! Go Miami Heat!!

as of now 8 out of 10. he is good but not great as proven in the recent NBA finals where he made a couple of disappearing acts. But i have to give him credit coz he is the best int'l player to ever play in the NBA.

i'd give him a 9.. simply because of the fact that you won't ever see a 7 footer shoot lights out like him.. he is a match up nightmare for any team
only reason he doesn't get a 10 is because of his liability on defense

on a 1-10 would probably be around an 8 but depending on who he covers it goes up and down.
