The almanacs would change, and people's superstitions would be altered, but who people are, how they interact with others and their ability to balance eggs would not.

If we were at an equal distance to the sun at all times, there would be no solstices and there would be serious changes to weather, solar radiation to the earth and other physical things, but it still wouldn't affect "the events in people's lives" in the way I think you are asking about.
