I'm a single parent and I took my 3 kids to orlando last year. I did the whole thing really cheap, but i paid the price. I didn't hire a car which is an absolute must, honestly, it makes things so much easier and you don't have to worry about missing buses etc. I stayed in a rubbish so called 3* motel, they're not all bad, but they tend to be quite noisy which is fine if you sleep like a log! ( I don't ). Next year I'll be looking for a Villa on HomeExchange ( it costs about $60 to register ), which means I'll get accommodation for free. I'll also be getting a fly drive with TravelCityDirect for around £1,200, that's with a 7seater minivan. You can get extremely cheap deals if you wait last minute but then you may not even sit together. You can't get cheap Theme park tickets, if you do there'll be something wrong with them. If you want to do every theme park you'll be looking at around £1,200 to £1,400 for all of you. I also recommend going for 3 weeks. If you need anymore info please ask.

Congratulations to you and your family. You will have a terrific time!
I can't help much with the villa portion of your trip, I usually stay on Disney property.
Two years ago, I went with my sister, my son, my niece and husband and their 2 daughters (age 2 & 4 at the time). We stayed in a condo just a few miles from the parks. This was a very good choice as we were able to make some meals there, thus saving lots of money.
This would probably be a good choice for you. There are full kitchens. We found a local food store and bought snacks, breakfast foods and sandwich fixings. We ate a good breakfast before we left, took some snacks with us, bought lunch in the parks and then when our day was done (with little ones we were usually back by 8pm) and then we would have sandwiches. (No one really wanted to cook, It was VACATION after all!)
And while at the park my son (aged 23 at the time) and I would sometimes share combo meals. You can get a large burger or a footlong hot dog with fries and a drink for $8.00 or so. Since I never got around to planting one of those Money Trees either, we had to watch every dime!
While there, take your time to enjoy it. Many people rush from one thing to the other in an attempt to SEE IT ALL. You just can't. Enjoy the things that you do get to see.
I hope you and the children have a great time, I am sure you will!

I would highly suggest the Villas at the Old Key West resort. These villas have full kitchens so that you don't have to eat out, you get free transportation from disney and you have 4 huge pools with waterslides. This resort is the best in the orlando area and I would go no where else.

I own a villa in Florida as do quite a few of my friends. Villas are more economical to rent than most Orlando hotels. You also have the added space and more often than not your own private pool. Prices for a 3 bed 2 bath villa range from £400 upwards, this is for the villa not per person.

Hi there! Villas can tend to be a bit pricey. My husband and I do the time share condo deal and we love it. We're with ORE and just came back from our vacation to Disney World. We stayed at the Fantasyworld Vacation Villas in Kissimmee. You may look into that. Otherwise, a moderately priced hotel may work best for you and your family.

I'm going on vacation this October and I found two option for villa, I took Fantasy World at $81.00 per night, but this is a condo, it has two level, full kitchen, two bedroom and sofa bed. also has pool and is a good option for you, so you can cook and not expend money eating outside. You can make sandwich to lunch. Also the other was OAK Plantation but this one is much smaller, it also have kitchen. I book my entire vacation via this site
www.thevirtualtravel.com, the earlier you book, specialy the air flight, will not cost to much,

Villa's are usually expensive. They are usually for bigger crowds and sometimes are more than hotels. But I found this one which is 12 bucks a day per person. No clue if that still is expenisve... but others are like 600 a week and stuff. Which might still not be too bad at all either. Well, check it out.....

i live here in fla. so i will try to help.first you need to know how long are you going to stay?next if you can stay for a while you would be best served by a rental agency (apartments etc.)also if you are willing to drive a bit you can stay outside the city for less.you are smart to start your search now.you might start with digitalcity orlando and look up realtor/rentals,and look under short term.have fun
