So far I find bleach or 409 spray very good, any better alternatives?

Thank you all so much! I have made a list of the products but in the end it will come down to what I find available. I Have picked den2read as he gave me a a great idea with the toilet brush to help me with a sore back problem right now! I really appreciate your answers, and i will use the product I can find here. thank you all very much :)

OHMYGOSH, trust me on this one...go to WalMart and get a bottle of THE WORKS. It's the BEST. You spray the tub...personally I would do one area at a time...then let it stand for a few minutes. But NOT LONG ENOUGH TO DRY...then scrub with a brush. (I buy a toilet brush for this because it has a long handle.) Everything comes off so nicely! Then rinse before that dries and on to the next area. I can honestly say from experience, it's the BEST STUFF. I had a shower that nothing worked on and I hate to scrub all day. This stuff will keep you from scrubbing much at all, just brush a bit and its' off. The Works is the best best best.

I typically use Clorox Clean-Up for everything, along with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. The Clorox Clean-Up will disinfect the tub and the Magic Eraser will get rid of any stains the Clorox Clean-Up leaves behind.
Good Luck!

Scrubbing Bubbles with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Works the best with the least amount of effort. And doesn't have the overpowering fumes of some other cleaners.

My tub is really old & gets a soap scum really easily. I spray on KABOOM & let it set for awhile (some times I even forget!) The tub gets sparkly just by rinsing it with hot water & gets even better if I am feeling ambitious enough to scrub a little!

bi-carb soda and water. use as a paste and apply to a chux wipe. Work in circular motions where dirty. It is a mild abrasive and works GREAT.
if tub is stained (the stain has soaked in to the ceramic) then you may need to try bleaches... but that is not very environmentally / health friendly.

I like Barkeeper's Friend. It's like Comet etc. but works better. The Mr. Clean Magic Erasers work well but they dissolve too fast.
