My daughters and I have used the Biore` strips, with wonderful results! I do my nose weekly....and it keeps my pores clean and clear throughout the year and seasons. We've used them since they came out years ago, with no bad results. Just make sure you rinse your face afterwards to get the residual glue off, and put a moisturizing lotion on after patting dry. You'll love the results...and if you've got more than one strip can handle, wait an hour or so, and do it again. Follow the directions explicitly for great results! :)

Some special soaps clear off the black color.
There is a device that medical supply shops sell that address the problem. They are called comedone extractors. (comedone is technical medical jargon for blackheads). I have not used the device, but the staff at the shop can explain how it works. It squeezes the blackhead out. The black color comes from oxidation of the oil component of a blackhead.
